Job Description: JSLP-3450 – OJTS Kitchen and Service – Hospitality Industry (Bangalore)

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, confirm your Job Descriptions with the Interviewer:

  • Food Preparation:
    • Assist in the preparation of ingredients including washing, peeling, cutting vegetables, and marinating meats.
    • Learn and perform basic cooking techniques such as grilling, frying, and baking under the supervision of senior chefs.
  • Cooking and Plating:
    • Assist in cooking dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
    • Learn the art of plating and presentation to ensure dishes are visually appealing.
  • Kitchen Hygiene and Safety:
    • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment.
    • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Help in managing kitchen inventory by organizing supplies and monitoring stock levels.
    • Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries correctly.

Service Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
    • Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Assist in taking orders and serving food and beverages to customers.
    • Address customer inquiries and provide information about the menu.
  • Table Setup and Maintenance:
    • Learn to set up tables according to the restaurant’s standards.
    • Ensure dining areas are clean and presentable at all times.
  • Order Coordination:
    • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
    • Communicate any special requests or dietary needs to the kitchen.
  • Payment Processing:
    • Assist in handling cash and card transactions, and learn to use the POS (Point of Sale) system.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or equialent.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Passion for the culinary arts and customer service.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is a plus.
