Job Description: JSLP-3452 Store Keeper –Manufacturing Industry (Ernakulam)

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, confirm your Job Descriptions with the Interviewer:

  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and issuing supplies.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
    • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent shortages.
  • Receiving and Inspecting Goods:
    • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
    • Verify the quantity and quality of items received against purchase orders and packing lists.
    • Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate department.
  • Storage and Organization:
    • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory in the warehouse.
    • Label and categorize items for easy identification and retrieval.
    • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the storage area.
  • Issuing and Dispatching:
    • Issue materials and supplies to various departments as requested.
    • Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
    • Coordinate with logistics and transportation teams for timely dispatch of goods.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain detailed and accurate inventory records using manual logs or computerized systems.
    • Update inventory management software with relevant data on stock levels, transactions, and movements.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management or logistics is a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Store Keeper or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • May require lifting and moving heavy items as part of regular duties.
