Job Description: JSLP-3461 Junior Site Engineer – Construction Industry (Kannur)

  • Site Management:
    • Assist in overseeing day-to-day site operations to ensure project timelines are met.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to maintain project schedules.
    • Monitor and report on project progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support and guidance to site personnel.
    • Interpret and implement construction drawings and specifications.
    • Assist in solving technical issues that arise on-site.
  • Quality Control:
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
    • Identify and rectify any defects or issues promptly.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and inspection logs.
    • Assist in the preparation of site documentation, such as method statements, risk assessments, and site plans.
    • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and filed correctly.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Promote and enforce a culture of health and safety on-site.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks.
    • Report and document any accidents or incidents promptly.
  • Communication:
    • Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and address any concerns.
    • Participate in site meetings and provide updates on project status.

Qualifications:

  • B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a construction or engineering role, such as an internship or placement, is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and health and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work on construction sites in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the site for extended periods.
  • May require lifting and carrying of materials and equipment.
