Job Description: JSLP-3464 OPD Staff Nurse – Health Care Industry (Ernakulam)

  • Patient Care:
    • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the outpatient department, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
    • Assist with minor surgical procedures, wound care, and dressing changes.
  • Patient Assessment and Monitoring:
    • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ health status and needs.
    • Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions, and report any significant changes to the physician.
    • Document patient care accurately and timely in medical records.
  • Coordination and Communication:
    • Coordinate patient care activities with other healthcare team members.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
    • Provide patient education and counseling regarding health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
  • Clinical Support:
    • Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient care.
    • Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
    • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results as directed by the physician.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Manage patient appointments and scheduling to ensure efficient patient flow.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
    • Participate in health and safety training and emergency response drills.

Qualifications:

  • ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife).
  • Current nursing license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient or clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
  • May require lifting and assisting patients as needed.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.

Salary: Based on interview performance.
