Job Summary: The OT Incharge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the operating theater, ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted safely and efficiently. This role involves managing the surgical team, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining high standards of infection control and equipment management.

- Theater Management: Supervise and manage all activities within the operating theater, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Staff Coordination: Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and other operating room staff to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
- Schedule Management: Oversee and manage the scheduling of surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary resources and personnel are available.
- Equipment Management: Ensure that all surgical equipment and instruments are properly sterilized, maintained, and ready for use. Arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.
- Infection Control: Implement and monitor infection control procedures to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medicine, or a related field; specialized training or certification in operating room management is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in an operating theater or surgical environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Working Conditions:
- Environment: Operating theater environment with potential exposure to surgical hazards and sterilization chemicals.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, assist with moving patients, and handle surgical equipment.
