Job Summary: The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, providing pharmaceutical care, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients. This role involves interacting with healthcare professionals and patients, managing inventory, and staying current with pharmaceutical practices and regulations.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, confirm your Job Descriptions with the Interviewer:

  1. Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs according to physician orders and patient needs.
  2. Patient Consultation: Provide counseling to patients on the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and drug interactions. Answer patient inquiries and provide guidance on non-prescription medications.
  3. Prescription Review: Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy, legality, and potential interactions. Ensure that all prescriptions are filled in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  4. Pharmaceutical Care: Monitor patient medication therapy to ensure efficacy and safety. Conduct medication reviews and assessments to optimize patient outcomes.
  5. Inventory Management: Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, stocking, and ensuring the proper storage of medications. Monitor expiration dates and ensure the disposal of outdated or unused medications.

Qualifications:

  • Education: B.Pharm or D.Pharm.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a clinical or retail setting. Residency or specialized training is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Pharmacy setting within a hospital, clinic, or retail establishment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry pharmacy supplies, and perform repetitive tasks.
