Job Summary: The Orthopedic Surgeon is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and surgically repairing injuries and conditions of the musculoskeletal system. This includes bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. The Orthopedic Surgeon will perform both surgical and non-surgical procedures to treat a variety of orthopedic issues and will provide comprehensive care to patients from diagnosis through recovery.

  1. Patient Care:
  • Conduct thorough examinations and obtain patient medical histories.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.

2. Surgical Procedures:

  • Perform orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements, arthroscopic procedures, fracture repairs, and corrective surgeries.
  • Monitor patients’ recovery and progress following surgery.

3. Non-Surgical Treatments:

  • Provide non-surgical treatments such as casting, splinting, bracing, and physical therapy referrals.
  • Administer injections, including corticosteroids and hyaluronic acid, for pain management and inflammation reduction.

4. Consultation and Collaboration:

  • Provide consultation services to other physicians as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment options.

5 . Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • 1 year experience in Orthopedic Surgery.
