Job Description: A Medical Records Technician is a healthcare professional responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining patient medical records and health information. They play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and accessibility of medical records to support healthcare delivery and compliance with regulations.

Medical Record Management:
- Compile, process, and maintain accurate patient records, including test results, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Ensure medical records are organized and up-to-date.
Health Information Coding:
- Assign codes to diagnoses and procedures using standardized classification systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT).
- Ensure proper coding for insurance claims and reimbursement processes.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA to safeguard patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Ensure records meet legal and accreditation requirements.
Data Entry and Retrieval:
- Input medical data into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Retrieve records for authorized personnel and healthcare providers when needed.
Collaboration with Healthcare Teams:
- Work with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to clarify documentation and ensure accuracy.
- Serve as a liaison between administrative staff and clinical teams for medical records-related matters.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular audits to check for accuracy and completeness of records.
- Identify and rectify discrepancies in patient information.
Technical Expertise:
- Operate and maintain electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Troubleshoot issues with medical records software or filing systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Msc Medical Documentation with 1 year experience or Bsc Medical Documentation with 3 year of experience.
