Job Title: Special Educator
Job Description: A Special Educator is responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs. They work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other professionals to create inclusive learning environments and provide tailored support to help students achieve their academic, social, and emotional goals.

- Instruction and Support
- Develop and deliver specialized instruction based on students’ unique needs and abilities.
- Adapt general education curriculum to ensure accessibility for all learners.
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assess students’ needs using formal and informal evaluation tools.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and specialists to create and update IEPs.
- Monitor and report on students’ progress toward meeting IEP goals.
- Classroom Management
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Implement behavior management plans as needed.
- Promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation among students.
- Collaboration and Advocacy
- Work closely with general education teachers to integrate students into mainstream classrooms where appropriate.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of students with disabilities.
- Provide training and support to staff on inclusive practices and accommodations.
- Professional Development
- Stay updated on best practices in special education and inclusive teaching.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance professional skills.
- Communication
- Maintain open and regular communication with families about their child’s progress.
- Write detailed reports and documentation as required by school policies and legal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience.
