Job Title: Pharmacy Manager
Job Description: The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the pharmacy, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves maintaining inventory, developing staff, and ensuring that the pharmacy meets financial and operational goals.

Operational Management:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including those of the FDA, DEA, and state pharmacy boards.
- Ensure the pharmacy adheres to safety, health, and quality assurance standards.
- Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Staff Supervision and Development:
- Recruit, train, and manage pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and professional working environment.
- Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage during all operating hours.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately and efficiently.
Inventory and Financial Management:
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for cost-effective purchasing.
- Manage the pharmacy’s budget, including revenue, expenses, and profitability targets.
- Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
Clinical and Compliance Responsibilities:
- Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Stay updated on new drugs, therapies, and industry trends.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
Education and Licensing:
- Bachelor’s degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Active and unrestricted pharmacy license in the state of employment.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist; prior management experience preferred.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
