Job Description: An Occupational Therapist (OT) helps individuals of all ages develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. They focus on enhancing clients’ independence and quality of life, addressing physical, mental, emotional, or developmental challenges.

- Client Assessment:
- Conduct detailed evaluations to identify clients’ needs, goals, and limitations.
- Use standardized tests, observations, and interviews to assess physical, cognitive, and emotional functionality.
- Treatment Planning:
- Develop personalized intervention plans based on clients’ unique goals and circumstances.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and caregivers to outline achievable objectives.
- Intervention and Therapy:
- Implement therapeutic activities to improve physical mobility, coordination, or strength.
- Adapt home, school, or work environments to optimize functionality.
- Teach compensatory techniques or recommend assistive devices to enhance independence.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.
- Prepare reports for healthcare providers, insurers, or legal purposes as needed.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, physical therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
- Advocate for clients in discussions regarding their care plans.
- Education and Guidance:
- Educate clients and families about techniques to support daily activities and prevent injury.
- Provide training on the use of adaptive tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Problem-solving skills to design effective treatment plans.
- Knowledge of ergonomics and assistive technologies.
