Job Title: OT Store Assistant
Job Description: The OT Store Assistant is responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the operating theatre by managing the inventory and supply chain within the OT storeroom. This role ensures that all necessary surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables are available, organized, and in optimal condition to support the medical team.

Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies to avoid shortages.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to ensure proper stock rotation and expiration tracking.
Storage Organization:
- Organize and label storage areas for easy identification and retrieval of items.
- Ensure sterile and non-sterile items are stored according to hospital guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the storeroom to adhere to infection control protocols.
Supply Preparation:
- Assemble and deliver surgical kits and trays as per scheduled procedures.
- Verify the accuracy of delivered items and prepare them for use in surgeries.
- Check and maintain the sterility of supplies.
Procurement Coordination:
- Collaborate with the procurement team to order necessary items.
- Track deliveries and ensure timely receipt of supplies.
- Liaise with vendors regarding product quality and specifications.
Record-Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate logs of supplies issued and returned.
- Prepare and submit usage reports and inventory updates to the OT manager.
Support Functions:
- Assist the OT team in retrieving emergency supplies during surgeries.
- Provide backup support for sterilization and cleaning tasks when required.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: Diploma in pharmacy assistant.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a pharmacy store/ OT store.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management software.
- Knowledge of sterile storage techniques and infection control practices.
