Job Title: OT Manager
Job Description: The Operation Theatre (OT) Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organization, and management of the surgical suite. This includes overseeing clinical and administrative operations, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and optimizing resources to provide efficient patient care.

1. Operational Management:
- Ensure the smooth functioning of operation theatres by managing schedules, staff allocation, and equipment availability.
- Monitor and maintain OT equipment, ensuring regular servicing and proper functioning.
- Supervise inventory management of surgical instruments, consumables, and medications.
- Develop and enforce OT policies and protocols in compliance with regulatory standards.
2. Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and evaluate OT staff, including nurses, technicians, and support personnel.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing for all procedures.
- Facilitate continuous professional development through training sessions and workshops.
- Foster a collaborative and disciplined work environment among multidisciplinary teams.
3. Quality and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to infection control policies and maintain sterile conditions in all procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Investigate and address incidents or complaints related to OT operations.
- Implement best practices to improve patient outcomes and minimize surgical risks.
4. Financial and Resource Management:
- Prepare and monitor the OT budget, optimizing cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with procurement teams for purchasing equipment and consumables.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to OT utilization and efficiency.
5. Communication and Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between surgeons, anesthetists, nursing teams, and administrative staff.
- Schedule surgeries in consultation with doctors and ensure timely coordination of pre- and post-operative care.
- Address and resolve conflicts or operational challenges effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Qualification: BSC Nursing or GNM.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in healthcare management, surgical care, or infection control are advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and OT protocols.
