Job Title: MEP Engineer
Job Summary: The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of building systems. The role involves coordination between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to ensure smooth execution of projects, compliance with standards, and achievement of project timelines and budgets.

1. Design & Planning
- Prepare, review, and modify MEP designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with local codes, international standards, and client requirements.
- Conduct load calculations, equipment sizing, and technical evaluations.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines.
2. Project Execution & Supervision
- Supervise MEP installations at site and ensure work is as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor contractor/subcontractor performance and quality of work.
- Conduct inspections and testing of MEP systems.
- Resolve technical issues during construction.
3. Coordination & Communication
- Liaise between design team, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Attend project meetings and prepare progress reports.
- Ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural elements.
4. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all MEP works meet quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Adhere to project timelines and budget constraints.
- Maintain records of inspections, test results, and compliance documents.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare industry.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other design software.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Understanding of local codes, international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, etc.).
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
