Job Title: Pharmacist
Job Summary: The Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and reviewing prescriptions to ensure accuracy and patient safety, providing expert advice on medication use, and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines. The role also involves maintaining inventory, advising healthcare professionals, and promoting the safe and effective use of medicines.

- Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy, legality, and suitability.
- Prepare, dispense, and label medications according to the prescription.
- Counsel patients on proper medication usage, side effects, storage, and possible interactions.
- Maintain patient medication records and confidentiality.
- Monitor and manage pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering and stock rotation.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical pharmacy standards.
- Provide drug information and advice to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage controlled substances according to applicable laws.
- Participate in health awareness and vaccination programs where applicable.
- Keep up to date with new medicines, medical developments, and pharmaceutical regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or Pharm.D) with minimum 1 year of experience.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmaceutical calculations, and drug interactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in prescription handling.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic computer skills for pharmacy software and inventory systems.
