Job Summary: The Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and reviewing prescriptions, providing advice on proper medication use, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The role requires strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to support patient care and safety.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, confirm your Job Descriptions with the Interviewer:

  • Accurately dispense prescription medications as per doctor’s orders.
  • Review prescriptions to ensure dosage, ingredients, and instructions are appropriate.
  • Provide patients with guidance on proper medication use, side effects, and storage.
  • Maintain stock levels of medicines, check expiry dates, and manage inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety.
  • Record and maintain patient medication histories where required.
  • Counsel patients on over-the-counter (OTC) medications and general health advice.
  • Handle insurance claims, billing, and documentation as per organizational procedures.
  • Stay updated on new drugs, therapies, and pharmaceutical research.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm / Pharm.D).
  • Valid pharmacy license/registration as per local regulations.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of medicines, interactions, and dosage requirements.
  • Excellent communication and counseling skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy management software (preferred).
