Job Summary: The Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and reviewing prescription medications while ensuring patient safety and compliance with medical and legal standards. The role includes providing expert advice on the use of medicines and promoting rational drug use.

- Dispense prescription medications accurately and in accordance with the doctor’s orders.
- Check prescriptions for errors, dosage accuracy, and potential drug interactions.
- Provide guidance to patients on proper medication usage, side effects, and storage.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, controlled drugs, and patient histories.
- Manage inventory levels, order new stock, and ensure proper storage of medicines.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements related to pharmacy operations.
- Counsel patients on health topics such as diet, exercise, and disease prevention.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for patient care.
- Conduct regular audits to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Stay updated on new drugs, therapies, and pharmaceutical research.
Qualifications and Skills:
- B Pharm or D Pharm with minimum 1 year of experience.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, drug classifications, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
- Ability to work in a team and under minimal supervision.
