Job Title: Purchase Manager
Job Summary: To manage and oversee all procurement and sourcing activities for raw materials, components, consumables, and services required for manufacturing operations. Ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality procurement aligned with company goals and production schedules.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, confirm your Job Descriptions with the Interviewer:
1. Procurement & Sourcing
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with production requirements and cost targets.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers (local and international).
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms with vendors.
- Issue purchase orders and track delivery timelines to ensure uninterrupted supply to production.
- Manage import/export documentation and logistics (if applicable).
2. Vendor Management
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
- Conduct vendor audits and performance evaluations.
- Resolve vendor disputes, shortages, and quality issues.
3. Cost Control & Budgeting
- Analyze market trends and material cost fluctuations.
- Work closely with finance to forecast, monitor, and control procurement budgets.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
4. Inventory & Material Planning
- Coordinate with the production and planning departments to align purchasing with demand forecasts.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels — avoid stockouts and overstocking.
- Implement just-in-time (JIT) or lean purchasing methods where feasible.
5. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and statutory regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier data, and price histories.
- Support audits and ensure adherence to ISO/quality management standards.

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in textile industry.
