Job Title: TRANSPLANT CORDINATOR
Job Summary: The Transplant Coordinator oversees and coordinates the transplant process in a hospital, ensuring smooth communication between patients, donors, medical teams, and external agencies, while maintaining compliance with clinical, ethical, and legal standards.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, confirm your Job Descriptions with the Interviewer:
- Coordinate the entire transplant process from patient evaluation to post-transplant follow-up
- Act as the primary liaison between patients, families, donors, surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, and support teams
- Manage pre-transplant assessments, investigations, and eligibility documentation
- Coordinate donor identification, evaluation, and consent processes in compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Schedule surgeries, diagnostic tests, clinic visits, and multidisciplinary meetings
- Educate patients and families on transplant procedures, risks, benefits, medications, and post-operative care
Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing), Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field
- Minimum 1 year of experience as transplant cordinator
- Knowledge of organ transplantation processes, donor management, and recipient care
- Proficiency in hospital information systems and medical documentation
- Excellent communication, coordination, and counseling skills
