Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  1. Inventory Management:
    • Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory items.
    • Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments and match them with purchase orders.
    • Label and organize inventory for easy retrieval and access.
    • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Rotate stock to ensure older items are used first (FIFO – First In, First Out).
  2. Order Fulfillment:
    • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to order sheets or computer systems.
    • Prepare orders for shipping, including packaging and labeling.
    • Coordinate with shipping carriers and ensure timely delivery of orders.
    • Process returns and exchanges as needed.
  3. Warehouse Maintenance:
    • Keep the warehouse clean and organized at all times.
    • Ensure all aisles and pathways are clear and free of obstructions.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and minor repairs.
    • Monitor and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
  4. Equipment Operation:
    • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
    • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any issues to management.
    • Follow proper safety protocols when handling and operating equipment.
  5. Documentation and Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and shipments.
    • Update inventory systems and databases with incoming and outgoing inventory.
