Job Title: Rig Nurse

Job Summary: The Rig Nurse is responsible for providing medical care and emergency response services to personnel on an offshore oil or gas rig. This role involves ensuring the health and safety of rig personnel through the delivery of primary healthcare, emergency medical treatment, health education, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide direct medical care, including first aid, emergency care, and treatment for injuries and illnesses occurring on the rig.
  • Conduct regular health assessments and monitor the health status of rig personnel.
  • Manage and maintain the rig’s medical facility and equipment, ensuring supplies are adequate and up to date.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as required.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all personnel.
  • Develop and implement health and wellness programs to promote the well-being of rig workers.
  • Conduct health and safety training sessions, including first aid, CPR, and emergency response drills.
  • Collaborate with safety officers to conduct workplace health and safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate evacuation procedures if necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  1. BSc Nursing.
  2. Candidate should have minimum 1 year experience in Emergency/ Casuality.
  3. CDC and STCW is mandatory.
  4. Basic knowledge in English.
