- Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Perform general tasks on construction sites such as loading/unloading materials, cleaning and preparing job sites.
- Operate basic tools and equipment under supervision.
- Assist other trades, such as masons, steel fixers, and carpenters, as required.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
- Skills & Requirements:
- Physical strength and stamina.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
2. Mason
- Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Construct walls, floors, walkways, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, or natural stone.
- Mix and apply mortar or concrete to bond building materials.
- Measure, cut, and arrange materials based on blueprints or supervisor instructions.
- Repair and maintain masonry structures.
- Skills & Requirements:
- Proficiency in masonry tools and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Physical endurance and attention to detail.
- Safety-conscious approach.
3. Steel Fixer
- Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Cut, bend, and fix steel bars or mesh in concrete forms for reinforcement.
- Position steel bars or mesh correctly to ensure structural stability.
- Secure steel bars using ties, spacers, or other fasteners.
- Work closely with engineers and follow specifications.
- Skills & Requirements:
- Strong understanding of building and structural requirements.
- Proficiency in handling rebar tools and materials.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
4. Carpenter
- Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Construct, install, and repair wooden frameworks and structures, such as walls, roofs, and concrete forms.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials as per specifications.
- Install fixtures and fittings like windows, doors, and cabinets.
- Work with a variety of tools such as saws, drills, and hammers.
- Skills & Requirements:
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
- Physical strength and stamina for lifting heavy materials.
- Precision and attention to detail.
5. Cleaner
- Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Keep construction sites clean and organized by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and facilities on-site.
- Dispose of waste in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure pathways and work areas are free of obstructions and hazards.
- Skills & Requirements:
- Understanding of cleaning materials and equipment.
