Job Overview:
The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring the highest standards of service, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role involves managing staff, maintaining a smooth workflow, handling customer concerns, and assisting with inventory and ordering. The Restaurant Supervisor works closely with the Restaurant Manager to implement policies, drive performance, and achieve the overall objectives of the establishment.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of servers, hosts, and other restaurant personnel to ensure smooth operations. Provide guidance, training, and motivation to the team to maintain high performance and service standards.
  • Customer Service: Ensure guests receive exceptional service throughout their dining experience. Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor the restaurant’s operations to ensure all areas are running efficiently, including the dining area, kitchen, and bar. Ensure the restaurant is well-organized and clean at all times.
  • Training and Development: Assist with onboarding and training of new employees, ensuring they understand restaurant procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectations.
  • Inventory and Ordering: Help manage stock levels, monitor supplies, and place orders for food, beverages, and restaurant essentials in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the restaurant complies with health, safety, and sanitation standards, including food handling and hygiene regulations.
  • Financial Management: Assist in monitoring the restaurant’s budget, including controlling labor costs and waste, and helping to achieve sales targets and cost-efficiency.
  • Shift Management: Oversee shifts, ensuring the right staffing levels and coverage during peak hours, and make adjustments as necessary to accommodate customer flow.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a restaurant supervisor, team leader, or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Requirements:
