Job Title: Barista (Filter Coffee & Tea)
Overview: A Barista specializing in filter coffee and tea plays a key role in creating a welcoming café experience by preparing and serving high-quality beverages. They ensure excellent customer service, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and possess a strong knowledge of coffee and tea preparation techniques.
Responsibilities may include but are not limitd to:
- Preparation of Beverages:
- Brew and serve filter coffee, tea, and other hot or cold beverages as per standard recipes.
- Customize beverages based on customer preferences, including strength, sweetness, and additional flavors.
- Maintain consistency and quality in every cup served.
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Provide recommendations on coffee and tea options, highlighting specialty brews or seasonal offerings.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing feedback and resolving complaints promptly.
- Workstation Management:
- Set up, clean, and maintain brewing equipment, including coffee machines, tea kettles, and grinders.
- Keep the workstation organized and stocked with necessary supplies like coffee beans, tea leaves, filters, milk, and sweeteners.
- Follow health and safety standards to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Inventory and Supplies:
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee, tea, and other supplies, reporting shortages to management.
- Assist in ordering and restocking supplies to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth café operations.
- Provide support during busy periods, helping with tasks such as serving, cleaning, or taking orders.
- Knowledge and Expertise:
- Stay updated on coffee and tea brewing techniques, trends, and best practices.
- Educate customers about the origins and characteristics of different coffee beans and tea blends.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in barista or tea preparation (preferred).
- Experience: Previous experience in a café or similar setting is advantageous.
