Job Title: Ambulance Nurse

Overview: An Ambulance Nurse provides emergency medical care and transportation to patients who require immediate attention due to injury, illness, or medical emergencies. They work as part of a team with paramedics and other healthcare professionals to deliver pre-hospital care, stabilize patients, and ensure their safe transfer to medical facilities.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  1. Emergency Medical Care:
    • Assess and evaluate patients’ conditions at the scene of an emergency.
    • Administer immediate first aid, advanced life support (ALS), or basic life support (BLS) as required.
    • Stabilize patients for transport, using equipment such as defibrillators, oxygen, and intravenous (IV) lines.
  2. Patient Transport:
    • Safely transport patients to medical facilities while providing ongoing medical care.
    • Ensure that all medical records, including patient history and care provided, are accurately documented and shared with receiving medical staff.
    • Communicate with dispatch, hospital staff, and other emergency responders to ensure smooth patient handover.
  3. Collaboration with Medical Teams:
    • Work closely with paramedics, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and doctors to provide coordinated care.
    • Participate in decision-making regarding patient care, including prioritizing urgent needs and coordinating with hospitals for immediate treatment.
  4. Patient and Family Support:
    • Provide reassurance and emotional support to patients and their families during stressful and potentially traumatic situations.
    • Communicate with patients and family members, explaining medical procedures and offering comfort during transport.
  5. Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance:
