Job Title: Staff Nurse
Job Overview: A Staff Nurse provides direct patient care, monitors health conditions, administers medications, and works closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality medical services. They play a vital role in patient recovery, health education, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Patient Care & Monitoring:
- Provide bedside care, monitor patient progress, and respond to medical emergencies.
- Assist doctors in medical procedures and examinations.
- Medication Administration:
- Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies as prescribed.
- Monitor for any adverse reactions and report concerns to physicians.
- Medical Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment histories, and progress reports.
- Update electronic health records (EHR) and assist in medical documentation.
- Patient Education & Support:
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.
- Infection Control & Safety Compliance:
- Follow hospital protocols for hygiene, sterilization, and infection control.
- Ensure patient safety by maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Teams:
- Work closely with doctors, specialists, and other nurses to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in medical rounds and contribute to treatment planning.
Qualifications & Skills:
✅ Education & Certification:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing) or General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from a recognized health authority.

- Strong patient care and clinical skills.
- Knowledge of medical procedures, medications, and equipment.
