Job Title: Web Developer , IT Support

Job Summary: The Web Developer, IT Support will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function, according to client or company specifications. Additionally, this role includes providing technical support to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and resolving technical issues promptly.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Web Development:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
  2. Collaborate with graphic designers and other team members to match visual design intent.
  3. Create and manage databases using SQL or NoSQL technologies.
  4. Optimize websites for speed, performance, and scalability.
  5. Implement responsive design for mobile and desktop platforms.
  6. Test and debug code to ensure functionality and security.
  7. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

IT Support:

  1. Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  2. Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment such as computers, printers, and networking devices.
  3. Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory or similar systems.
  4. Assist with network administration tasks, including backups, security, and monitoring.
  5. Document and track support requests and resolutions using helpdesk software.
  6. Train employees on new software and IT best practices.

Key Skills and Qualifications;

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience with CMS: WordPress, Joomla, or similar platforms.
  • Database management: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • IT support skills: Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Networking basics: TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP.

Soft Skills:

  • Problem-solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written skills for dealing with clients and team members.
  • Time management: Prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects efficiently.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in web development or IT support roles.
