Job Title: Physiotherapist
Job Summary: A Physiotherapist is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitation programs that improve or restore human motor functions, maximize movement ability, and relieve pain. The role involves working with patients of all ages who are affected by injuries, illnesses, or disabilities through movement, exercise, manual therapy, and advice.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Patient Assessment:
- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions to diagnose functional movement limitations.
- Conduct detailed patient histories and physical examinations.
- Utilize diagnostic tools like muscle strength tests, range-of-motion tests, and gait analysis.
- Treatment Planning:
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Set realistic short-term and long-term goals for patients.
- Therapeutic Intervention:
- Provide manual therapy, including massage and joint manipulation.
- Guide patients through exercises to improve mobility and strength.
- Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, heat, cold, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy.
- Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families on exercises to perform at home.
- Offer advice on injury prevention and health maintenance.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Prepare detailed reports for referring physicians or insurance purposes.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to optimize patient care.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with advancements in physiotherapy practices and techniques.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and professional development programs.

- Technical Skills: Proficient in manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and the use of rehabilitation equipment.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT or MPT) from an accredited institution.
Valid license or certification to practice physiotherapy.
Experience:
Previous experience in a clinical, hospital, or sports setting is preferred.
New graduates with internship experience may be considered.
