Job Title: OPERATION THEATRE NURSE
Job Summary:An Operation Theatre Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The role involves preparing and maintaining the operating theatre, assisting the surgical team during operations, ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols, and providing safe pre-operative and post-operative patient care. The nurse plays a vital role in ensuring patient safety, efficient surgical procedures, and optimal clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Prepare the operating theatre, instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies before surgery
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and the surgical team during operative procedures
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere strictly to infection control and safety protocols
- Perform scrub, circulating, or recovery nurse duties as required
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition before, during, and after surgery
- Ensure correct positioning and safety of patients on the operating table
- Handle, count, and document surgical instruments, swabs, and needles accurately
- Document surgical procedures, nursing care, and patient progress accurately
Requirements:
- BSc NURSING
- Minimum 5 years experience in an acute hospital setting (200 bed strength) preferrably with experience in abdominal surgery, Cardiothoracic
- Valid NMBI Decision Letter ( Must be valid until July 2026)
- Valid OET – B /IELTS – 7 Certification ( Must be valid until July 2026)
